Long line up. Came here for its spicy broth. Ordered medium hot and it was pretty hot. Deliciously hot.

This is the best Ramen I had in Japan. Famous for being the hottest Ramen in Japan. Try the 五目 tanmen (6/10 on their hotness scale) if you want to try something very spicy but also very tasty or, if you are feeling brave, try their 10/10 tofu and see if you can live to tell the others about it!

This was a challenge for me since I don't eat spicy food that often. The ramen was quit hot but it still had a flavor of the soup. I like the thickness of the noodle and it matches the soup!

Delicious, but not as spicy as many claim. It is not the chillies but the amount of noodles, sodium and spice that is challenging, at least for me. I have heard that the Nakamoto in Kichijouji serves hotter noodles.

Overkill in spiciness. The taste is unique, but they went too far in making it hot and spicy for the sake of getting people to notice. I noticed, tried and will not go back.

Excellent spicy ramen. They use vending-machine ticket system and there didn't appear to be an English menu. Red means hot, so if you want spicy can't go wrong with one of the red buttons on the top!

The spice is real! I got a Level 5 "Mouko Tanmen" and felt nothing but spiciness. Nevertheless, the noodle was well-cooked and accompanying cabbages and tofu help reduce the heat. Other flavours might be of interest as well, as I've heard people adjusting the spiciness. Beware the lines! It's usually a long wait even for a shorter (5-6 people) line.

Try the no1 hot ramen ...only if u can handle real spice

Definitely a good ramen shop. The place is very busy and offers a large choice bof ramen. The food is good and has a good balance of spice to enhance the taste without being too much.

I had Hokkyoku ramen which is the level 9 for the spiciness. If you are ready to sweat out from your head and feel the pain on your lips and tongue, try that. I like that even thought it’s soooooo spicy!!!

Hottest Spiciest Ramen in town!! This branch is in an obscure corner of Shinjuku with stairs leading down to the restaurant( basement). Tip- But don’t take the Super hot challenge cause the chilli powder wipes out the taste n aroma of delicious soup/broth. The average hot ramen should suffice, noddles are done well with some bite n not mushy but the delight is in the broth! It’s a great dish to have after a night out for drinks provided you can stomach it as eating it will get u all fired up literally- tongue will burn, sweat will flow but it’s delicious. Recommended for the brave of heart!

The spicy ramen here was very good. It could have been spicier even but it was pretty spicy and not too overpowering to the point where the flavor of the ramen couldn't be enjoyed.

We came here for lunch our last day of our honeymoon - best ramen of our whole trip! The place was packed with a line out the door but it moved fairly quickly. You order on a machine while in line and the price seemed kind of low to me so I bought some toppings separately. When I handed my tickets to the chef, they gave me a funny look. Turns out the standard ramen came with a full set of toppings and I ended up with the top of my bowl completely rimmed in seaweed and topped with a mountain of green onions. Insane, excessive, and amazing. Next time, I'll hold off on the toppings. The more you know.

Long line out the door but only waited about 15 minutes before seated. The host helped me select what turned out to be a perfect level of spicy ramen. Top-level service. Amazing mixture of tastes that just worked together and weren't drowned out by the spices. 880 yen for the meal.

Careful, your butt will hurt the next day after eating their spiciest dishes. But boy, is it worth it!

Really good spicy ramen. Helpful and friendly staff helped us order from the all Japanese vending ticket machine. Would recommend this place if you like spicy. Anything above level 8 is fairly spicy.

If you want the best ramen you must try this place. The price isn't even that bad.

Very good place if you like very spicy noodles. I ate the lvl6 spicy noodles. Nose was running but I could have eaten even hotter. The scale is between 4-10.
